Privacy
Short version: OPOCAMS ("we") wants as little of your data as it can get away with. This page sets out what is collected anyway, why, and what you can do about it.
What gets logged automatically
Your IP address in truncated or anonymised form, the browser and operating system you are using, which pages you opened and for how long, and where you arrived from. This is what keeps the site running, keeps it secure, and tells us which pages are worth improving.
Cookies
Three kinds, and no more: the essential ones without which the site cannot function; preference ones that remember your choices, such as SFW/NSFW mode and your filters; and analytics ones that show us how the site is being used. Your browser settings control all of them.
What you hand over yourself
Nothing, unless you write to us, file a DMCA notice or ask for a profile to be removed. In those cases we keep the email address and whatever you put in the message, and we use it for that request only.
What it is used for
- Running and improving the site
- Seeing which pages and features are actually used
- Answering reports, requests and questions
- Spotting and stopping abuse, fraud and attacks
- Meeting legal obligations
Who else sees it
Your personal information is not for sale, and we do not sell it. A limited amount reaches the contractors who keep the site up — hosting and analytics — all of them bound to confidentiality. It also goes to the authorities when the law compels it or when our rights need defending, and it would transfer with the business in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
When you leave for a cam site
Follow a link out of OPOCAMS and you are on somebody else's site, governed by their privacy practices, not ours. We have no control over what they collect. Read their policies.
How long it is kept, and how it is protected
Only as long as the purposes above require, or as long as the law demands. Technical and organisational safeguards are in place, with the usual caveat that no transmission or storage method is perfectly secure.
What you can demand
Depending on where you live — EU/UK GDPR, California's CCPA/CPRA and similar regimes — you may be entitled to see your data, correct it, delete it, restrict how it is processed, or object to particular uses. Ask us and we will act on it.
Anyone under 18
Should not be here at all, and we do not knowingly collect anything from them. See the 18+ statement.
Revisions
This page changes when it needs to. Anything substantial appears here as a new revision, and using the site afterwards means you accept it.
